Ordering funeral flowers is slightly different to ordering other floral items.
We have put together some key points that try to answer the questions that we are most often asked.
Please feel free to call us if you have a specific question, we are always pleased to be able to help and advise our customers
Deciding What To Send.
Many factors affect your choice of what to send. The most improtant thing is your relationship to the deceased. Close family or loved ones tributes tend to be coffin sprays, lettering, hearts or religious tributes, however this need not be the case and it is very common for smaller less formal items to be sent. In the main friends and work colleagues etc usually send wreaths, sprays, sheafs, posies or funeral bouquets.
If you are unsure what to send please feel free to contact us for specific advice.
Guaranteed Delivery Times.
Timely deliveries are the cornerstone of our funeral flower service and it is therefore vitally important that we meet any delivery deadlines requested. Our close working relationship with funeral directors ensures that we know the best time to arrange deliveries to be made. During the order process we will request the funeral time (if you are unsure ot the time we will try to find out the information for you). In general deliveries are made around 2 hours before the funeral time. There may be circumstances when this may vary due to requests from the director. An early funeral may be delivered the evening before or we are sometimes requested to deliver to a 'care of' address for tributes that are being taken to the service by the recipient. Whatever the reason we can deliver your flowers to suit your needs and this timed delivery service is unique to our funeral collection.
When To Place Your Order.
In an ideal world we would prefer to receive as much prior notice as possible. However, it is not uncommon for us to have orders placed the day before the funeral and occasionally on the actual day. Please bear in mind that if you are ordering online outside our opening hours for a funeral the following day that we will not retrieve your order until the the morning of the funeral (or Monday morning if you order after 3pm on Saturday). This gives us very little time to be able to deal with any issues that may arise and also the time needed to arrange and deliver your tribute. It is not unusual for us to start work at 8:30 to find that someone has placed an order overnight for a funeral taking place at 10am that morning.
Where To Deliver To.
Most funeral tributes are delivered to the director dealing with the funeral. It is very common for our customers not to know the exact details of the funeral, especially if they aren't local and won't be attending the service. In some cases flowers are requested for delivery to the home address of the deceased, the address that the funeral cortage will be leaving from, churches andcrematoria. All the aforementioned are suitable for delivery but we may modify the delivery address on the instruction of the director or family to fit in with their requests.
